Stewart's interview style is cathartic, and that's useful, but we often talk about solutions journalism and metrics for success and I'm looking at the past and wondering: is this approach effective at creating change? I feel like maybe no? Would love to read someone on this topic

I can't help but think by end of week she'll get on TV with the other "victim" of a Stewart gotcha interview T. C. , and talk about how Stewart was mean, didn't give her prep time and pretend she had this list of reputable sources in an environment where she won't be challenged.

It just really feels like the other approach we see on John Oliver and SomeMoreNews, where the topic is addressed in detail with a consumable video essay and lots of cited sources but without giving a liar a chance to bullshit is, if anything is to be effective, more effective.
