      emilynussbaum nhannahjones Same as w/ emilynussbaum, I get the exact word too, I'm not saying it isn't racist when directed against people of color. Generally it happens when I'm presenting as a software engineer, I think it's a reflection on people expecting me to be a mathy/anti-social tech stereotype.

    emilynussbaum nhannahjones I suspect that's pretty telling on why it is used generally towards others, it is a word specifically leveraged when one is expected to be below the baseline of quality for presenting and instead exceeds (or even just meets) that baseline.
