I have lately been working with some people who prefer spaces and I am not criticizing them personally, because structural conditions in engineering culture enforce spaces as a standard tied to an identity of expertise and I don't feel the need to be harsh on people who conform.Permalink On twitter.com

Worse than that, they are a tool of exclusion and boundry setting. A way to gatekeep against people for whom variable personal spacing is actually important for physical unalterable reasons. They are bad culture.Permalink On twitter.com
