pilhofer I don't think it has really been tried in a fully reciprocal manner. It tends to be either Buy Small Paper X and get access to Big Paper Y, but not visa-versa. Or Here's access to Small Local Papers X, G, H, D; which isn't super useful...Permalink On twitter.com

pilhofer I think it can't be like a cable bundle. It's not a pipe deal, it's an access to varied information deal, and it has to be built differently to play that way. Amazon has seen some success in selling digital subscriptions in that manor; as have comic book companies.On twitter.com

pilhofer That said, not sure where and for whom it will work. Not all biz models will apply universally to all digital news media. But it does seem like the direction we are going towards as subscription walls multiply, an oAuth schema for rings of news sites.Permalink On twitter.com
