    @jcteitloff I think the issue is that user data, like all data, is power and the more power any single organization can collect the more likely it is to corrupt. At the end of the day that data will be misused and weaponized. Human vulnerabilities may not be consistent, but some have them.

      @jcteitloff Which is to say: I also don't really care how my user data is used and am media-literate enough to not feel persuaded by ads; but I don't expect that to be true for a everyone. As long as that's the case, access and collection will present some danger to people and IRL systems.
