Dear Vox Media: blocking servers from accessing your RSS feeds is bad form. RSS feeds are just as much for machines as humans and should be parsable by machines who retrieve them remotely.

Fun fact from 'Tales of Faking UA to Get What Should Be Accessible Data' - it used to be you faked being Googlebot to get a page. Now you have to fake being Facebookbot.

User-Agent level protections are dumb and a waste of engineer time IMO. There's always another UA that you'll end up needing to let in and someone will find it and post it on the internet somewhere. There are far better countermeasures.
