bluechoochoo I think the left fails because it is engaged in an alternate dimension. This isn't a media bubble thing, it's a fundamental misunderstanding thing. It isn't just that the left creates ineffective plans, it is that it plans on flawed assumptions.

bluechoochoo It's like the left is on base 8, the right is on base 4 and both are trying to solve the same equations. Both are working with what look like the same numbers, but have fundamentally different operating assumptions.

bluechoochoo - that Trump will be impeached. Because embarrassment and law breaking would force that reaction. But the right sees this as a zero sum game, their approach would never support such an action but the Democrats don't understand it because they don't perceive politics that way.

bluechoochoo IMO: at end of the day, flaw is that the Democrats believe they're working on a long arc towards victory that requires minor adjustments But the Republicans believe they're fighting a war for survival. The approaches are incredibly unequal. The left is at a huge disadvantage

bluechoochoo The shame is most on the left who are engaged and not white, not rich or not men see politics as much a zero sum equation as the right does, but they're not allowed into the leadership and mainstream Dems tend to sell them out in the name of incremental bargaining.
