      derekwillis dancow Only in the sense that she had a platform which requires personal consideration of one's amplification. That doesn't mean famous, but it does mean that even then she had some impact worth considering. But b/c the scale was different, the considerations and meaning were different

    derekwillis dancow I still think these approaches are best medium.com/message/the-steel-man-of-gamergate-7019d86dd5f5 - which I perceive as her intent in this. But as someone who wore about context collapse, no one should have been more prepared for the consequences than she.

      derekwillis dancow And while I believe in her intent here, if she was acting with awareness of that issue, there were other approaches, phrases and methods she could have used to avoid this problem. She chose not to. That's her choice. The NYT has far less wiggle room.
