It limits exploits, but also metrics tools that exchanges and agencies like to resell.

      blaine ElissaBeth dakami brianvan efink brave ErrataRob slightlylate Yeah we should be pressuring Google more, but as someone who has been saying so for years now, I haven't seen the will or capability to do so effectively on pub-side. G has too much leverage. In IAB at least pubs have a voice, however small. Pubs don't seem to use it there either

        blaine ElissaBeth dakami brianvan efink brave ErrataRob slightlylate The problem is that all the publishers would have to agree to force adoption of a standard together. It's a dream, but one that is hard to imagine coming to reality.
