    Rustyk5 I mean isn't the point of doing journalism to challenge these people and do research? In the internet age stupid people don't need the NYT to 'let them talk', they do that via dozens of platforms. What's the point of journalism that doesn't show the exercise of critical thought?

      Rustyk5 We've just spent a year in politics finding out that the average reader sees amplification as approval. In 2017 this approach is bad journalism through and through.

        Rustyk5 And if it very clear from the scale of people and money involved that a dangerous number of people don't think these dumb ideas sound dumb and have the resources to make these dumb ideas into dangerous reality.
