        dmarti Oh, I agree, the developers aren't evil. I don't doubt their intent or the good will behind open sourcing something. But also open sourcing is a form of PR in the engineering community and extending a library is performing on their behalf to a degree...

      dmarti I wouldn't retweet a funny Tweet made by an organization or individual I feel is harmful to our culture or planet. I don't think the developers who work there are themselves bad, just different standards. Shouldn't the same standards apply to the code I use?

    dmarti Like: I didn't apply for a job at Heat Street because I found it ethically challenging. If that is the case should I be using code from that same institution (if it existed anymore)?
