        You didn't see coverage of X because no one gives a shit about X, so it got no social lift. That's a very different thing than no coverage.

          Journalists like to pretend they run social, but really the whole point is they don't. They can try super hard to create lift and fail.

            The real question isn't 'why didn't the media cover X?', it's why don't regular people care enough about X to share it?

              If one shares something about "why didn't the media cover X?" what they're mostly asking is 'do you also need excuses to hate media?'
