2 questions: Why does AP use both ap(dot)org & apnews(dot)com? Is anyone else super uncomfortable with AP running content marketing units?

Like isn't AP supposed to be the definitive example of an organization funded through non-ad means?

The combination of Taboola units and an alternate URL here makes me pretty uncomfortable. First thing I did was double check this was real.

Also this baffles me because doesn't it mean AP is competing with publishers for ad dollars? How does that work? Why are pubs ok w/it?
