    Neither of those sites exist anymore. What happens when the news outsources its commenting to platforms and those platforms shut down?

      Discourse is lost forever. Don't think Twitter will be around forever. And if comments had no value, why do Twitter/FB want them?

        Facebook & Twitter are billion $ conversation platforms. When publications shut off comments it's another failure to understand own biz.

          eBay, Facebook, Cars(dot)com, Craigslist. There all were newspaper functions once. They weren't stolen from the media, we gave them up.
