        Most significant: Facebook is now strongly associating real URLs w/ Instant Articles. Facebook is no longer trying to strongly dictate form

      This makes Facebook, via Instant Articles, basically the world's most successful RSS reader literally overnight.

    W/other changes rolled out over the last week, it makes Facebook Instant Articles not just more commercially viable then AMP, but ethically.

      From both an editorial (doesn't dictate what you can do) and technical (it's weird RSS and HTML, but Web Tech not made up tags) perspective.

          Facebook Instant Articles is still not the best thing for publishers, but it is better for both publishers and the web than AMP.

            It's also the first sign in a long time that Facebook may be more interested in being a product than a platform, which would be interesting.

              Just a glimmer, mind you, but still small small sign Facebook might b/c more gateway than gatekeeper of the web. Wouldn't that be something?
