knowtheory I think the DCU explanation is easy, it's less his obsession with Frank Miller and a lot more to do with Snyder's obsession with Ayn Rand, objectivism and libertarianism. His strong ties to those philosophies extremely limit his capacity to even consider other types of stories.Permalink On twitter.com

knowtheory Snyder's treatment of Watchmen made it clear that it isn't even some sort of philosophical transformation. He read a satire of his politics in Rorschach and basically with *just direction* turned it into a promotion of his politics. I this he's just blind to the other version.On twitter.com
