Zeldin is a nightmare. I think interpreting their support as a rebuke to Hochul is a mistake tho. Hochul ascended to Gov from a poisoned legacy, and isn't spending a ton on ads because of over confidence. Also, as is typical, she seems to be mostly doing attack ads and tbh they're not good. Like a lot of Dems she seems incapable of stating what her policies are going to be, nor has she articulated her plans, something *particularly important* for an unelected incumbent...

It's insane that it's 2022 and mainstream Democrats still don't understand that they need to run campaigns on what they've done and will do. They keep letting their campaigns be defined by their opponents. It's bad.

To be clear, the Dems are spending a lot of money on the ads race, I meant in the top to say that her campaign isn't buying a wide *variaty* of ads.
