But in practice most people running AMP reader are using Google's cache (even when Bing was going strong on theirs) because maintaining a cache of all web articles is too expensive for almost everyone.

      pilhofer robinberjon clockwerks eric_young_1 reckless ckrewson backlon spiritedmediaco billy_penn There are a few specialized exceptions in the mix, but most of AMP traffic is Google's cache on Google's domain with the users being captured and retrained by Google. So in practice isn't it exactly the same as from day 1?
