eric_seufert I mean on one hand there is all this: context.center/topics/law-enforcement-and-data/#how-law-enforcement-acquires-your-data But also like: - eff.org/issues/border-searches - eff.org/issues/community-control-police-surveillance-ccops - eff.org/nsa-spying Just to start! That's literally off the top of my head at local time <10am with one cup of coffee in me.

eric_seufert The mistake here is seeing this as two issues... they are both part of the same issue, leaking data anywhere is a danger to people who are concerned with both the gov't spying on you, foreign entities spying on you, and behavioral manipulation by all of the above and more.

eric_seufert If it helps, I just wrote an article making explicit the problems of linking mass surveillance by gov't contractors with phone tracking and ad-style data. fastcompany.com/90788367/the-mtas-switch-to-omny-machines-is-a-privacy-nightmare These are all the same problem and the problem is privacy.
