Trying to extend the brand to a movie is always a bad idea. Not because it is intrinsically bad, but because the way that Hollywood mostly deals with highly valuable brands is fan service and tying creatives closely to the content of the media and... that ain't going to work...Permalink On twitter.com

Like no one is *excited* to see a Gelatinous Cube on screen. Fans of D&D aren't fans of the story. They're fans of what they can build w/it. Right choice would be to give it to a very creative writer & director & let them do whatever they want. Make it an anthology or something.Permalink On twitter.com
