dmarti RubSchreurs This is a really good point. A lot of the folks who go around saying 'personalized advertising works for me' are also folks w/a lot of income to spend on random stuff they don't really need, but might just catch their fancy. Valuable to advertisers, but not near the majority.

dmarti RubSchreurs It makes me wonder if there might be a significant generational gap in opinions about the effectiveness of personalized advertising that have less to do with technique and more to do with class.
