Hello folks, big news: I'm hiring! This is a senior engineering position set to work with me on all the privacy and data regulation efforts at The Washington Post, as well being part of our participation in the W3C and Prebid. washpost.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/washingtonpostcareers/job/DC-Washington-TWP-Headquarters/Front-End-Software-Engineer--Subscriptions_JR-90273746-1
-
We're a brand new team and you'll be working closely with me to manage our existing privacy technology, build new projects and prototype and proof of concept privacy proposals from both W3C concepts like private click measurement and internal concepts as well.
-
One of the coolest things about this job is that you will be owning your own code bases but also collaborating with engineering teams across the whole company. We take a consultative approach in working with other teams to help with both new and existing products.
-
In addition to technical skills, we're looking for someone who can feel comfortable talking with all those other teams and participating in our regular team meetings with the Post's lawyers on privacy planning, handling regulation, and problem solving.
-
We'll also be writing a lot of documentation together. The key to making a sustainable privacy engineering program is a well documented one and we're regularly building out comprehensive documentation. And yes, the position can be remote for the right candidate.
