The biggest flaw in neoliberal end-the-world capitalism thinking is that they genuinely believe people are just going to keep working normally and going to max out their productivity to keep the markets going even while everything else falls apart.

We're half way through the year and already have had over 300 mass shootings; you definitely know someone who has had a lifetime impact or died from COVID; and 50% of the population is looking at their bodily autonomy getting taken away. Productivity isn't going to be going up.

If you fkin love capitalism and want better markets and more money and a country with high GDP maybe it's time to lean in the direction of your labor force not being constantly distracted by the 20 ways the world is ending this week.
