We're opening ourselves up to so many problems as a society that has to support people in the future who will experience unknown and still unclear impacts from COVID and it is just entirely unnecessary... sfchronicle/1539247608853577733

            COVID isn't a medical problem, or a science problem, any more. It's a capitalism problem. You can look at deaths & long term disability that occurs starting from the minute we dropped mask mandates forward as entirely on the shoulders of the ghouls who run our economy.

          This is the most important thing to remember. None of this *had* to happen this way. We chose to enrich the ultra wealthy over the long term health of our entire nation. That was a *choice* we *made* as a country.

        And the worst part is that, as climate change continues to get worse, the emergence of new, strange and mutated diseases is only going to happen more often and, like with gun violence, once we've chosen not to take action to protect the majority once, we'll choose so again...

      When you supported re-opening and dropping masks-- When you let a bunch of money hungry pharmaceuticals choose patents & profit over eradication of disease-- you didn't just make that choice for COVID. It's now the new default we're going to come up against more and more often.

    Just remember that people will want to portray our bad response to the next epidemic as some new individual mistake. But it is a continuous line with COVID. We've made the choice to prioritize billionaires over the permanent health state of the majority of Americans.
