    1. Look folks, we don't have to argue about if period trackers are doing abortion surveillance that can be used by state law enforcement. They are definetly doing some level of surveillance that is neither worthwhile or ethical and will almost certainly be used to do bad sh*t.

Like hey... can it *hurt* to uninstall another "free" app that's sending your personal data out to random ad tech companies without your active and informed consent? Fk no. Uninstall all apps. We don't have to fight about which app is worse, they're all bad.

If your period tracker data is being used to arrest you, track you for ad targeting on the basis of personal processes of your body, or to manufacture consent through targeted political messages, those are not equally bad outcomes, but they're all bad outcomes.

However you know what's not a bad outcome? Uninstalling another app that doesn't take your consent or personhood seriously and sends your data out to brokers and targeters. And it's fast and easy. So why argue over the details when everyone is basically on the same side?

Are period trackers potentially ratting you out to the cops? I don't know. Basically no one knows for sure until the cops try to use their data that way, but the very fact we don't know for certain is enough to make it clear these apps are not transparent enough to trust.

            End the app.
