      humanpropensity robinberjon The simplistic analogue for this is video games that become less playable as more monetization is inserted into the game. It isn't just that they are adding micro-transactions, they are also making the game harder to accomplish w/o them intentionally to push users towards buying.

        humanpropensity robinberjon Users are, in general, bad at calculating value & I think it's a mistake not to mark the increasing friction behavioral-data-based platforms put in their lives as a type of labor that results from that process. They will take a lot of friction and pushing before they are repelled
