    dmarti swodinsky Giving people more control over what was mailed to them def a good thing to look at as a basis for future regs... but I do think part of the problem is the previous implementations were problematic in ways never resolved, which is part of how Google was able to move so freely...

      dmarti swodinsky In Surveillance Capitalism's model--if we don't avoid historical comparison--the problem isn't that Google is taking novel action, but that it is taking bad actions at a high enough scale to be overwhelming. Addressing that root issue would be a better basis for resolution.
