swodinsky JulesPolonetsky mikarv AnupamChander I think this is an attempt at saying the end of Privacy Shield w/the US because of Schrems 2 (which threatens Google's capacity to operate a number of products in the EU) is somehow not sufficiently applied to... someone... in Russia?

swodinsky JulesPolonetsky mikarv AnupamChander I mean I see the response on the original tweet noting that we just lacked precedent, which is basically the deal... enforcement just goes slow and Google is the biggest target to work with. Which seems right to me?

swodinsky JulesPolonetsky mikarv AnupamChander It's just that Google is not incorporated in Russia and therefore their huge data transfers are not as vulnerable to the any government agency as much as the US ones. The concern is about the scale of vulnerable data and where to regulate first for effectiveness.
