When Google folks talk about the 50-70% value from 3p cookies, that value *is from* the perceived value attached to user targeting. FLEDGE aims to preserve that value

That this makes assumptions of value that cannot be proved out without the existence of a world that totally eliminates user targeting as an option. But others disagree...

        humanpropensity pbannist luk_wlodarczyk SimonJHarris KyleDozeman And for those who believe that 3p provides a specific quantifiable value that is very high that cannot be replicated through other means... that value comes from user targeting. FLEDGE (and Topics) aims to retain that value while shifting responsibility away from GAM.
