mattderienzo fredmogul JenSeniorNY TBH I think the core problem is (coming from a NYer with friends involved with WNYC) is not that the piece was unfair to its subject... but that the way media covers male journalism leaders is often overly positive, calls their negatives positives, and is badly framed.

mattderienzo fredmogul JenSeniorNY I think CJR's article here was good... I think the problem you're seeing is that the same critical lens is not applied to male journalism leaders often enough. But it doesn't help the people who are struggling at WNYC right now so I don't think it justifies not running the piece.
