I shouldn't need to tell anyone this but libraries & archives are fundamentally parts of journalism's ecosystem. You aren't writing the first draft of history if no one saves it. This is especially important because publications do a terrible job preserving their sites.On twitter.com

If a journalist says the Wayback Machine is "stealing from them" then they don't understand what archives do, are for, or the entire point and mission of journalism to begin with. Please report to your local library (which has archival copies of newspapers) for an education.Permalink On twitter.com
