The stuff that is called web3 (with the exception of a very small set of *some* of the metaverse stuff) is built *on top* of cryptocurrency. It is literally composed of crypto currency. robleathern edzitron If you had to buy & sell books to host a website then yes you could say that the internet was made to sell books, but it wasn't the way it worked then. You *do* have to buy & sell crypto to participate in almost every "web3" product... so web3 is a mechanism for churning crypto.On twitter.com
