JJ mentors tons of early career folks! Which is great! But it feels like he is just teaching all of them his Thing and then his Thing is clearly being replicated by every person who he mentors to the point you can watch a show and just know it's an Abrams mentee behind it.On twitter.com

Imagine a world where literally any other Boomer/GenX director mentored literally anyone. Who are those people? What interesting movies and TV shows would they create?
