It's hard to remember this now, but Obama wasn't the party's choice originally and originally built a movement outside their apparatus. The Democratic Party has not really been able to select good presidential candidates for a *very* long time. And clearly still can't.Permalink On twitter.com

The GOP is constantly better at this. You can probably name 5 GOP future primary candidates right now. But who are the Dems prepping, promoting and putting on camera? They're not even really putting resources into promoting our current VP. Frustrating.Permalink On twitter.com

I mean part of the reason is because the Republican apparatus is basically non existent now, instead a roving coalition of rich dudes, lobbyists, and special interests pushing randos into the scrum... but surely there has to be an in-between option?Permalink On twitter.com
