        1. I am increasingly frustrated that apparently we've decided as a country we're just going to let everyone get Omicron because our governments think that's likely going to juice the economy. But we definitely do *not* have to create a situation where everyone to gets sick.

Not only is it fundamentally eugenics, because people with disabilities, preexisting conditions, and other susceptibility are far more in danger. We still don't know the long term effects of even a mild case of Omicron, or how it will mutate in the Petri dish of America...

Even if you wanted to take a cold inhuman economics view... it's still not a good bet. You're taking a predictable situation with known solutions and mitigations and kicking the can down the street to a future unpredictable situation w/unknown impact to the economy and workforce

Nothing is more frustratingly clearly an indicator of the American Political Mindset than the willingness to put extra bodies in the ground only for short term gains without consideration to building a future

Apparently the American Economy is a train, we're building the tracks with bodies, and we're headed for a bridge that has a 50% chance of being out and we just don't care to check because everyone in charge gets out at the stop right before the bridge.
