alextcone I've worked on this both with hobby code ( github.com/AramZS/AdSandbox ) and for The Post and the answer (that I'm sure Confiant is doing) is active code-level interventions which can turn off swaths of relevant functionality through capture and noop functions and adding sandbox mode

alextcone Unfortunately, because this isn't a standard some ad tech scripts can flip out when this process is in place, which is why it isn't more widely implemented. If it was part of the compliance methodology though they would have to be compatible or be seen as out of compliance.

alextcone It would be great to add to the GPP conversation the expectation that downstream vendors would have to operate in a system where these type of on-page interventions are active when users set specific states.
