kickstand not all boomers etc... there's a fundamental difference b/t what you're describing: people who engage w/world around them & develop professionally, at any age; & what I'm talking about: people who decide they don't need to engage or develop any further than their current state.

kickstand I go into this down thread, but there's a big problem with a lot of people at the top of their organizations, at the top of political parties, etc... deciding that they already know everything and don't need to do anything more than pontificate. That's obviously not everyone...

kickstand But in my experience it does happen particularly often with boomers. The older generation seems more likely to continue to develop and evolve and move on to new things. The younger generations are often getting stunted and blocked and unable to move up and develop...

kickstand But there is a whole subset of Boomers who just hit the top and sit there and make excuses for not having to change with the world around them or develop themselves as professionals... or even humans... any further. And it seems particularly common w/that generation.
