            1. Tried to read a Kotaku article on Firefox Android & a video, unrelated to the article, took up the top 3rd, pulled down and I had no way to close it, I hit a recirc in the middle & a bottom ad popped in. Then I scrolled down & it reset me to the top & removed my ability to scroll

I switched to Reader Mode which turned off all the ads and video, which is unfortunate because I'd like them to earn money, but it was either that or be unable to read the article :/

I could not replicate, so I'm assuming it's a low quality ad... which is baffling to me because I would think Kotaku could set a pretty high bid floor to avoid these things?

The irony is that half the time an ad actually loaded it was a Yahoo "this article isn't brand safe" square.

And when I tried to replicate the issue... it sometimes appeared that the ad load was so high that the video would fail.

Ignoring the UX for a moment, half the time there's so much stuff loading on the page the ad loads appear to time out, just empty spaces, no matter how long I wait. This ad density has surely passed the point of declining returns and now inverted, with CPM/PV going down?

I'm wearing my professional hat and tbh I have no idea how the logic that drives this experiance could make sense. Which sucks, because the writing is still great!

Also, I continue to get the expanding Kargo ads which load no ads and collapse and refresh into AdX. And every Yahoo ad I see is the brand-unsafe square, which leads me to wonder if Yahoo has blocklisted me or them?

I finally saw a Kargo ad load but I guess Double Verify has decided that reporting on Texas voting laws isn't brand safe...? Pretty sure this only appears for brand safety issues, not user fraud ones. jezebel.com/texas-republicans-seem-extremely-determined-to-stop-the-1847633399
