    foundhistory I think it is a thing shared by Gen X to some extent (especially the younger side), but I think it is unique to those two generations. Previous generations got to *accomplish* normals. Gen Z never has assumed there was a normal. In-between the two is witnessing failures.

      foundhistory I think what makes Gen X different is that, depending on particular factors including age, there was at least the chance to assume that the 90s were going to persist their promise of a particular America before that all went to shit (not saying the 90s were great, just a normal)
