      humanpropensity I think the bigger problem with the big credit agencies involved is that their data is more precise and better joined to individual user identity in a way that say... 80% of DSPs couldn't get close to, and even UUID providers aren't going to be as good at...

    humanpropensity What's upsetting is that credit agencies have the power to create a real indelible cross-site... but also cross-context identifier for users, one that can be applied to them in the same way when targeting an ad or deciding if they are eligible for a loan. That's a vast reach.

      humanpropensity I don't think it's crazy to say that the idea that an ad targeting ID might be attached to the same dataset that contains my SSN is a pretty offensive one, regardless of if a marketer can or can't see all of the data in that set.
