mkramer For saving stuff into the Wayback Machine web archive on Archive dot org - they've got plugins for that: help.archive.org/hc/en-us/articles/360001513491-Save-Pages-in-the-Wayback-Machine

mkramer There is also a bookmarklet that I just checked and it did work - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Using_the_Wayback_Machine#JavaScript_bookmarklet

mkramer Also, if you start encountering wonky sites, you may want to try Web Recorder: webrecorder.net/ github.com/webrecorder/archiveweb.page/releases/tag/v0.6.12 conifer.rhizome.org/

mkramer You may want to use both, because if a political candidate dislikes their old positions being held against them, they can issue a takedown notice on Archive dot org, but Webrecorder archives can be created locally and or downloaded and retained.

mkramer Also, I'm not sure how Archive dot org processes some stuff on social networks and I suspect that for some of the smaller elections there's a Facebook page and that's it.

mkramer The other cool thing is that the WebRecorder Archivewebpage app allows you to share recordings via IPFS, which is sort of a cross between torrents and the Tor-based web.
