    1. Sad to have only just noted the loss of G/O's bloggy "Filed To" taglines, which appear to have been removed from the template in January. The taglines, which often contained metadata, in-jokes, sarcasm, and authorial rage, were one of my favorite features of the site.

    Only reason I spotted it is because, in a weird move for a news site, they also appear to have dropped datelines from their AMP templates.

      I think this is the sad sign of the end of a particular style of bloggyness that once ruled the web. Even new Gawker appears to have a single tag per story & it isn't even linked to a collection page. I tend to think it's for the worst, but at the very least, I'll miss it.
