reconbot We've seen old systems hit up against new issues because reality has changed and then have terrible trouble upgrading b/c they're in antiquated modes, languages, stuff no one has touched, etc... I don't think it's wild to say actively used apps should undergo regular upgrades?

reconbot I dunno... it's hard to wrap my head around to be honest. I only see the bad here and I see it regularly. Outside of a JS tutorial, I can't remember the last time I saw alert used in production. Generally it has been recommended against for a while now...
