    publictorsten Oh I thought it might impact *my* recommendations but you're 100% right that it could impact Spotify's recommendations to others. The way Spotify's algo works is by essentially allowing users to 'create genres' that drive their own & others recommendations...

      publictorsten But you'd either want to target super fringe genres that Spotify has little data on OR you'd want to get in playlists that match your genre to build off any existing playlist placements. Random bombing doesn't seem like it would work well unless it was *huge* scale.

        publictorsten This is actually something I'm super interested in, because I find the Spotify algo very fascinating.           publictorsten But as far as I can tell, for that behavior to have a larger impact than just me, it would need to be on a lot of playlists with similar musical profiles and songs. Putting a bunch of EDM on a Twee playlist at random doesn't seem like it screws anything up but that one playlist
