      1. I watched a few episodes of Ratched last night & I just can't stop thinking about how a it turns a character described in graf 1 of their Wikipedia entry as "a popular metaphor for the corrupting influence of institutional power and authority in bureaucracies" into a rogue agent.

      If she's evil, manipulative & insane from day 1 the entire point of her character is undermined & everything the book & film had to say about individualist ideals, and the system's willingness to let people die rather then admit the abnormal is healthy is totally undermined.
