Hello, I'm a Jewish NYCer and I can think 1. Yang is a shitty candidate 2. The existence of the state of Israel is not my only voting issue. 3. Neither Israeli government or Palestinians are the Rebel Alliance in some overly simplistic Star Wars view of conflict in Israel.
-
Also I don't give a shit what the mayor of NYC thinks about Israel and the idea that Yang thinks talking about himself as pro-Israel will impact my voting choice as a Jew is fking demeaning and insulting.
-
Discussing Israel in the US as a liberal Jewish person is gd exhausting and TOTALLY irrelevant to the platform of the Mayor of NYC...
-
And Yang bringing up Israel is clearly *yet another* attempt by him to avoid having to discuss any of the real issues that ARE relevant to me as a resident of NYC because his positions on the stuff that matters are badly defined or just bad and he can't generate press on them.
-
Whatever your position on Israel (75% of them are not well thought out & 100% of them are irrelevant to the mayoral race for NYC) talking about it in respect to Yang either positively or negatively is playing into his hands by elevating him as a name worth discussing in the race.

I shouldn't even have to do this thread because even writing the thread is playing into his hands because it is contributing to him trending instead of doing what we normally do to a mayoral candidate who is insufficiently prepared - ignoring him. But he's trending again so :/.
