      1. Do any other people who grew up in the outer parts of the outer boroughs sort through the weird cognitive bias (unsupported by any facts) that medical providers increase in excellence the closer they are to Midtown?

I was sorting thru Zocdoc recently & realized when I lived as a kid in outer Queens my parents always went towards the city for providers even though the suburbs were potentially right there and less traffic-prone? And that I was also tending to select doctors towards Midtown.

It's just a weird thing I realized that I'm doing and there's no particular reason to make any assumptions of quality on the basis of location. Yet my brain was doing it anyway. Even though doctors further into Queens were right off the 7 and theoretically just as easy to access.
