    humanpropensity I don't disagree that it is amazing, but that's a critical response to Iron Giant, the film itself was a commercial failure and is considered more of a cult than a mainstream classic.

      humanpropensity Especially considering Bird always said it was supposed to be self-contained, it's weird to see it in two other films entirely stripped of its story context. And Space Jam especially is a film arguably targeted direct at the type of audiences that rejected Iron Giant in theaters.
