joshsternberg jarroddicker I know that technical competency of participants is a perpetual blockchain-technology problem but also I am really baffled by the idea that anyone would buy an NFT that they can't seed on their own machines via IPFS and/or potentially through WebTorrent. There is a gap somewhere

joshsternberg jarroddicker I seriously don't understand how an individual can get deep enough in the tech to buy an NFT but not deep enough to understand how to maintain a seed via IPFS/torrent and consistently want to do so.

joshsternberg jarroddicker jarroddicker is obv the expert here, not I, but I feel like the greatest part of having an NFT would be ability to show ownership while having the content as widely available as possible. Crypto owner certification removes the entire threat of torrenting the content, so why not?

joshsternberg jarroddicker Sorry to go long, but the more I think about it this is a perfect use case for WebTorrent, b/c it means that sites and participants can all seed the file and the pointer can be to a magnet link. Why isn't that a baseline requirement? It would solve most issues brought up by Vice.
