      swodinsky amywestervelt emilygadabout Lol dunno about that :P, we're digging farther back into news history than I usually go, but if you want to have fun, there's some good stuff out there about how we got in this situation b/c 70s era Dems made the call to drop antitrust policy in exchange for ending Vietnam.

    swodinsky amywestervelt emilygadabout (oh, the embedded thread, yes! That all started after Dems decided that monopolies weren't bad for democracy and is a very good run down on how pricing got involved in it when it shouldn't have, forgive my late night confusion)

      swodinsky amywestervelt emilygadabout Anyway, the right answer is always smaller business entities, & a good rule of thumb is any regulation that makes big business bigger or lets it act bigger via bypassing the market is prob bad. Also capitalism bad, but they won't pass a law to get rid of that. So gotta aim lower
